How to plan for COST
Think about it in the context of your Lead Volume
People and/or marketing will likely be your biggest costs, and these should directly correlate to sales funnel activity.
In the above example - The reasoning could be something like the following:
“for the first 6 months, we’ll rely mainly on our founding team, but will scale up with a team of expert consultants doing in-depth customer case studies and performance marketing. We will also hire a small amount of people, but will prioritize efficiency resulting in plateauing costs in year 2 - 5.”
Remember also, that this will generate an expected CaC which you can use to see if your estimate holds water.
Ultimately, you and your investors will decide whether or not this Cost structure is feasible. But you will be in a MUCH better position if you have a vision from the very beginning.
